Meltzer/Mandl Architects is located at 215 Park Avenue South, between 17th and 18th Streets, two blocks north of Union Square. The nearest subway stop is 14th Street. The Union Square neighborhood has become one the "hottest" areas in Manhattan, and is home to a wide selection of restaurants, including some of the newest and trendiest cafes as well as long-established favorites and traditional New York Deli's, Bars and Jazz Clubs.

The W New York Union Square Hotel is next door to MMA's offices, and numerous retailers serve the area. The New York Film Academy is located just off the east side of the Square, and several "Off-Broadway" legitimate theaters are in the same area. Northwest of Union Square is Madison Square park and the Flatiron district, while Gramercy Park is located to the northeast. The National Arts Club is located on Gramercy Park South and the School of Visual Arts Museum is nearby on 23rd Street. Of historical note is the Birthplace of Theodore Roosevelt at 28 East 20th Street, which is now a museum.
