340 East 29th Street rests upon one of the few remaining through-lots in Manhattan, running from East 28th Street straight through to East 29th Street, and the site afforded the developer a building of 100,000-square-feet in 16 stories. The siting (a street-to-street-lot) allowed us to design an unusually large (5,700-square foot) and exciting outdoor green space leading to the entrance, complete with a gated courtyard. The apartments are continually filled with light as there are windows on all four sides of the building.
